The Rad is a Tyler, Texas based Pop/Rock band that formed officially in October of 2008 with the online release of two self-produced demos. The overwhelmingly positive reception of the demos prompted the band to enter the studio in December of 2008 to record six songs with producer John Naclerio (Brand New, My Chemical Romance). Fuelled by these recording sessions, the band quickly hit the road, touring regionally in Texas and in the surrounding states as well as embarking on a short tour of the mid-west. The Rad released “Minor Chords Are So 2003” as their first single from the sessions on their Myspace site on new-years day, 2009. The single has garnered much attention from fans as well as from the industry.
